Huzaifa had been a devout Muslim since childhood, but he was impressed with how loving Christians were. When a young Christian woman began to work in his shop, she answered his questions about her faith and invited him to church. He met the rest of her family and began to attend church. For two years he studied the Bible diligently before accepting Christ and receiving baptism. Two years later, he married the sister of his colleague at the shop; then, the threats began. His brother came to his pastor and threatened to kill him. Huzaifa and his new wife were frightened, but that night Huzaifa had a dream where he realized God would always protect him. He went to his family and told them about his faith. He stayed with them for four days as they observed his character, and they decided to leave him alone.
