GUINEA — Finding Healing, with Persecution, in Christ
Hamade finds encouragement with a group of other Christian women from Muslim backgrounds
Hamade had been sick for many years before becoming a believer.
When traditional healers couldn’t cure her, she began attending church. And after three months of prayer, she was healed of her longstanding illness. Her family, however, told her she was imagining things. They tried to prevent her from going to church because they thought she was bringing shame on the family, and they finally told her she would have to leave. Hamade moved in with a friend in another city but was forced to move again when her friend’s husband tried to molest her. Eventually, she was able to move in with a Christian woman and join a local church.
Pray that Hamade will find work and grow in faith. She is struggling because she does not speak the local language. Thank God that she has a good church and a supportive pastor.
