LAOS — Christian Families Attacked, Deprived for Faithfulness to Christ

Villagers in Laos destroyed this home when its Christian owners would not recant their faith.
On Oct. 12, 2025, three families in a remote area of Laos were driven from their homes while villagers demolished their houses and confiscated their land and livestock.
This attack followed weeks of growing aggression that included the chaining of a local Christian leader, Lom, to a house post for four days; Lom’s family was among those driven from their home. Since the attack, the families have been forced to live under a lean-to in the center of the village, closely watched and prohibited from seeking help. These Christians have been given only small amounts of rice for survival. District church leaders have attempted to provide relief but have been refused entry to the village. Front-line workers report that this is not an isolated incident as Christians in three nearby villages are facing similar threats.
