IRAN — Recently Released Prisoners Face Hardships
Saheb (Zaman) Fadaee was recently released from an Iranian prison.
In February 2023, the Iranian government released thousands of long-held prisoners during a general pardon.
Those released included several Christians imprisoned for practicing their faith. Upon their release, the government confiscated the work permits of the freed Christians, so they cannot hold jobs to provide for their families. Additionally, they are constantly under government surveillance. “They have to be very careful about interacting with other believers,” said one front-line worker. “Please pray that the Lord will meet the needs of these recently released Christians.”
