These families remained firm in their faith when they were denied rice after a drought.
After a drought earlier this year, authorities sought to distribute rice to help struggling villagers, telling the village’s leader to gather information about villagers before distribution.
The leader then prevented the village’s 17 Christian families from obtaining rice. Following this and other instances of persecution, three of the 17 families renounced their faith. VOM is providing rice for the 14 families.
