IRAN — Persian New Year a Ripe Harvest for the Gospel
Front-line workers gave out Bibles and other gospel materials during Persian New Year festivities.
Coronavirus restrictions have limited opportunities for evangelism during past Persian New Year celebrations, but this year, Christian workers reached many travelers with the Good News about Christ.
On March 25, front-line workers met a young Iranian lady, Fariba, in a shopping center and gave her a package of gospel materials, including a Bible. The next day, she contacted the front-line workers because she wanted to know more. “I have been up all night reading the materials you gave me, including the Gospel of John. Now what?” she said. Front-line workers then met her at a local café, where they shared the gospel with Fariba. A few hours later, Fariba professed faith in Christ.
Pray that Fariba grows in her relationship with Christ, and pray for the many others who heard the gospel during the Persian New Year outreach.
