TURKEY — Turkish-Born Resident Expelled
Damla has lived in Turkey all her life, but the government doesn’t want her there anymore.
Another Christian has been kicked out of Turkey on the same grounds used by the government to eject more than 50 foreigners in the last 18 months.
Damla Villanueva, 26, was born in Turkey and has lived there all her life, and her parents have been in the country for almost three decades. In July 2020, Damla’s residency visa was denied due to an N82 code, a designation given recently to several Christians who have been deported. Damla and her family have appealed to the courts.
Pray for Damla as she waits for the court’s decisions from outside Turkey, and pray for the many other foreigners facing the same problem.
