Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain,Kuwait and small sections of Iraq and Jordan are all located in the Arabian Peninsula. In the Arabian Peninsula, when men and women leave Islam to follow Christ, the first opposition they face is often from family members.

But the opposition doesn’t end there. Our Christian brothers and sisters are shamed and rejected. They are abandoned. They are humiliated. They received death threats. Some are imprisoned and others are severely beaten. Some brothers and sisters have even lost their lives for their faithful witness to Christ.

Joining other believers for worship and fellowship is difficult, so persecuted Christians in the Arabian Peninsula are isolated. But they are not victims. The Bible says they are faithful witnesses to Jesus Christ and are faithfully proclaiming the gospel. And the gospel is always advancing. It is never on the retreat. Our Christian family members in the Arabian Peninsula are resolute in their faith, determined to stand for Christ at any cost.
