TURKMENISTAN — Pastor Seeks to Register New Church

No churches have been registered in the country in nearly 20 years.

In Turkmenistan, Christian worship has been limited to churches in government-sanctioned denominations, but other churches do exist.

One pastor said, “Since 2007, no church has been registered in Turkmenistan. We are praying for a miracle!” Some churches believe in the value of trying to register and receive official permission to hold worship services and outreach events. Other churches prefer to remain unregistered and do their activities without the approval and watchful eye of the government. Pray for the Lord’s blessings upon both the registered and the unregistered churches of Turkmenistan. Regardless of their church’s status, pray they will preach the gospel faithfully despite government pressure and persecution. Another pastor in Turkmenistan said, “We are deeply grateful for your faithful prayers and support as we continue walking together for the kingdom of God.”
