These Vietnamese pastors and evangelists r<\/span>i<\/span>de on their motorbikes and proclaim the gospel and plant<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>churches, even though they face hardship and persecution.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Representative Foley says that s<\/span>everal months before his death, local authorities destroyed Brother Ph\u00e1t\u2019s home as a warning to stop his gospel ministry. But Brother Ph\u00e1t continued<\/span>\u00a0his gospel ministry work<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]\u201c<\/span><\/span>On March 11, 2026, Brother Ph\u00e1t was returning home from a ministry\u00a0<\/span>trip<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and he was viciously kicked off of his motorbike<\/span>,\u201d says Representative Foley<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>After falling to the ground, he was beaten and left in a ditch on the side of the road. His life<\/span>\u00a0and theirs have been\u00a0<\/span>marked by faithful service despite persecution.<\/span>\u00a0To the world, they may look like poor Vietnamese peasants<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0But they are great in the\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span>ingdom of God.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Representative Foley says that although\u00a0<\/span>Brother Ph\u00e1t\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>story is violent, the Voice of the Martyrs\u2019 video<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0about\u00a0<\/span>his\u00a0<\/span>martyrdom\u00a0<\/span>and the martyrdoms of other Christians have been made so that they are\u00a0<\/span>suitable for viewing by all ages.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]A<\/span>ccording to\u00a0<\/span>Representative Foley, International Martyrs\u2019 Day is a<\/span>n\u00a0<\/span>opportunity for churches around the world to learn about Christian<\/span>s facing martyrdom today, particularly in the more than 70 countries where there are restrictions on the practice of the Christian faith<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]In recent\u00a0<\/span>years<\/span>\u00a0the ministry has honored martyrs from\u00a0<\/span>India,\u00a0<\/span>Central Asia, China, Colombia, and Africa.
