But she says, \u2018I just want to go home.\u2019 We are thankful for the 5,000 people around the world who signed the petition calling for Russia to just let Missionary Park go home.\u201d<\/span><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Park Tae Yeon is a<\/span>\u00a0Korean missionary\u00a0<\/span>who was arrested\u00a0<\/span>in Khabarovsk, Russia\u00a0<\/span>January 15,\u00a0<\/span>one week before she was scheduled to return home to Korea to retire at age 70. The missionary continues to be held at an immigration detention center<\/span>\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span>Khabarovsk.<\/span>\u00a0She\u00a0<\/span>faces a maximum of 17 years in prison on a total of three immigration-related charges<\/span>. The\u00a0<\/span>Foleys said Missionary Park\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>initial<\/span>\u00a0court hearing\u00a0<\/span>on these charges\u00a0<\/span>is now likely to occur in\u00a0<\/span>May<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]A<\/span>uthorities have also seized Missionary Park\u2019s house in Russia and fined the missionary for overstaying her visa, despite the overstay being due to her detainment by Russian authorities.
