\u201cToday <\/span>3<\/span>60 million Christians<\/span>\u2014a<\/span>bout <\/span>1 in 7 Christians worldwide<\/span>\u2014face <\/span>persecution for their faith<\/span>,\u201d says Representative<\/span> Foley<\/span>, citing statistics from the World Evangelical Association<\/span>\u2019s Religious Liberty Commission<\/span>. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Last year<\/span>,<\/span> a<\/span>n<\/span> average <\/span>of <\/span>16<\/span> Christians were killed <\/span>each day <\/span>for their faith<\/span>, while another <\/span>1<\/span>7<\/span> were <\/span>arrested<\/span> and <\/span>10 were abducted. <\/span>Overall l<\/span>ast year, more than 200,000 Christians were forced to leave their homes or go into hiding <\/span>for faith-related reasons. The numbers are staggering, but behind every number is a story.<\/span> Typically<\/span> the story is one of Christian <\/span>perseverance<\/span> and God\u2019s faithfulness.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
