\u201c<\/span>Th<\/span>e book is <\/span>the amazing true story of how the Baes received and bravely passed on the gospel from generation to generation, through labor camp, prisons, interrogations, and the greatest challenge of all \u2013 everyday life in North Korea<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d<\/span> says Pastor Foley.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The <\/span>book<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s <\/span>publisher, Voice of the Martyrs Korea, delivers more than 40,000 Bibles into North Korea annually via land, sea, and air, in addition to broadcasting f<\/span>our<\/span> daily shortwave radio programs into North Korea and doing discipleship training programs for North Koreans wherever they are found. \u201c<\/span>Often when I arrive at a church to preach, the pastor and congregation members will tell me with tears in their eyes that they are praying for the day when North Korea will open to the gospel,<\/span>\u201d<\/span> says Pastor Foley. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>I tell them the good news that the Lord has already answered their prayers: the Lord has always <\/span>maintained<\/span> faithful witnesses to his word in North Korea. I tell them that what we need to pray is that the boldness and faith of underground North Korean Christians will revive the church in South Korea, America, and other countries around the world where the church is in decline.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They have continued to update that study, and at the end of 2020 they <\/span>determined<\/span> that around 8% of people inside of North Korea have now seen a Bible with their own eyes<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d<\/span> says Pastor Foley<\/span>. <\/span>He adds that a <\/span>separate study <\/span>released in June<\/span> 2021 by <\/span>the Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary estimated that more than 6% of North Koreans inside North Korea have had personal contact with a Christian.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Pastor Foley hopes by offering the <\/span><\/span>These are the Generations <\/span><\/span>book for free to South Korean Christians this month<\/span> that <\/span>readers can gain new vision and understanding for <\/span>what is happening in <\/span>North Korean gospel ministry today. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>We want South Korean Christians to have accurate information about the gospel ministry God is already doing inside North Korea today,<\/span>\u201d<\/span> says Pastor Foley. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>We don<\/span>\u2019<\/span>t want them to think that North Korea gospel ministry is something that can only happen once North Korea opens politically.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]V<\/span>o<\/span>ice of the Martyrs Korea<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s <\/span><\/span>These are the Generations <\/span><\/span>book has been translated <\/span>and published <\/span>in Korean, English, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Czech, and Chinese.
