\u201c<\/span>Qingcaodi<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(name is literally translated to Green Grasslands)\u00a0<\/span>Church is\u00a0<\/span>located in Deyang, about 80 kilometers northeast of Chengdu,\u201d says Voice of the Martyrs Korea Representative Dr<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Hyun Sook Foley. \u201cThe church was planted by\u00a0<\/span>Chengdu\u00a0<\/span>Early Rain Covenant Church<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and then\u00a0<\/span>it\u00a0<\/span>became a separate member of the Western China Reformed Presbytery.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]According to Representative Foley,\u00a0<\/span>r<\/span>etired<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Qingcaodi<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Church\u00a0<\/span>elder<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Hao Ming\u00a0<\/span>signed his name to the\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>China Declaration<\/span>\u201d<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a statement of faith\u00a0<\/span>written by Pastor Wang Yi and\u00a0<\/span>signed by more than 400 Chinese pastors\u00a0<\/span>and ministers\u00a0<\/span>which was\u00a0<\/span>first issued\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>August 2018 in\u00a0<\/span>response to crackdowns\u00a0<\/span>on unregistered churches\u00a0<\/span>by the Chinese government<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>Three days after the\u00a0<\/span>initial raid on\u00a0<\/span>Chengdu\u00a0<\/span>Early Rain Church<\/span>, authorities raided<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Qingcaodi<\/span>\u00a0Church,<\/span>\u00a0and the\u00a0<\/span>crackdown\u00a0<\/span>has continued since then<\/span>,<\/span>\u201d says Representative Foley<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Representative Foley says that o<\/span>n November 17, several Christians\u00a0<\/span>related to\u00a0<\/span>Qingcaodi<\/span>\u00a0Church<\/span>, including<\/span>\u00a0current church e<\/span>lder Wu\u00a0<\/span>Jiannan<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>r<\/span>etired<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>church\u00a0<\/span>elder<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Hao Ming, were\u00a0<\/span>questioned, detained, or\u00a0<\/span>arrested<\/span>. Wu\u00a0<\/span>Jiannan<\/span>\u00a0and Hao Ming remain in prison<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>on charges of fraud.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]According to Representative Foley, the\u00a0<\/span>Qingcaodi<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>congregation is preparing for the possibility of further arrests in relation to th<\/span>is latest crackdown. \u201cMany Christians around the world\u00a0<\/span>wrongly\u00a0<\/span>think that Early Rain Church\u00a0<\/span>must have\u00a0<\/span>given up and\u00a0<\/span>ceased operating by now<\/span>, after three years of\u00a0<\/span>continuous\u00a0<\/span>onslaught\u00a0<\/span>by the\u00a0<\/span>authorities<\/span>,\u201d says Representative Foley<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0\u201cBut even as authorities\u00a0<\/span>continue to\u00a0<\/span>rage<\/span>, the Lord continues to sustain Early Rain Church and Pastor Wang Yi<\/span>.
