\u201cLast\u00a0<\/span>year our VOMK supporters made it possible for us to\u00a0<\/span>sen<\/span>d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>more than 700\u00a0<\/span>Christmas Care Packages to children of Christian<\/span>\u00a0families facing persecution\u00a0<\/span>in Colombia and Algeria<\/span>,\u201d says Voice of the Martyrs Korea Representative Dr<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Hyun Sook Foley<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u201c<\/span>This year our goal is to\u00a0<\/span>see a tenfold increase in the number of Christmas Care Packages as we send them to the children of Christian<\/span>\u00a0families facing persecution\u00a0<\/span>in\u00a0<\/span>ten countries<\/span>\u00a0or regions<\/span>: Nigeria, the Philippines, Malaysia, Burkina Faso, Pakistan, Myanmar,\u00a0<\/span>Egypt, Cameroon, Vietnam, and Palestine.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Representative Foley says th<\/span>e c<\/span>ontents\u00a0<\/span>for each Christmas Care Package\u00a0<\/span>are sourced locally<\/span>, with the contents tailored to the needs and preferences of local believers<\/span>. The\u00a0<\/span>packs are\u00a0<\/span>then\u00a0<\/span>distributed\u00a0<\/span>in late 2021 and early 2022\u00a0<\/span>by VOM frontline workers<\/span>, who also identify\u00a0<\/span>children eligible to receive the gifts<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Representative Foley says that in some\u00a0<\/span>of the\u00a0<\/span>countries a small number of the\u00a0<\/span>packages are used by local believers and VOM frontline workers for outreach events\u00a0<\/span>reaching non-Christian children.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_single_image image=”39389″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Representative Foley says that a donation of 35,000 KRW\u00a0<\/span>can send one\u00a0<\/span>Christmas Care Package<\/span>. Representative Foley says th<\/span>at Voice of the Martyrs Korea tries to select different countries\u00a0<\/span>for the project\u00a0<\/span>each year\u00a0<\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0highlight for the\u00a0<\/span>Christian\u00a0<\/span>public the specific conditions that persecuted Christians\u00a0<\/span>and their children\u00a0<\/span>are facing in each countr<\/span>y<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThe Christian public\u00a0<\/span>generally<\/span>\u00a0knows about Christian persecution in places like China and North Korea. But the Christmas Care Package program gives us the opportunity to\u00a0<\/span>share what it\u2019s like to be a Christian child in a country like Malaysia, or Pakistan, or Nigeria.\u00a0<\/span>In each place Christian children face different kinds of challenges due to their faith.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bibles were given to those who could read.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>These gifts were mainly distributed among Sunday school children, brick kiln children, and poor and needy Christian families.<\/span>\u00a0They were\u00a0<\/span>distributed in the slum areas of Lahore and adjacent areas<\/span>. The mother of one of the children who received a Christmas Care Package wrote, \u2018<\/span>There are no words to express my gratitude that you have shown my children the love of God through your willingness to provide a gift for them.
