According to Voice of the Martyrs Korea Representative Dr. Hyun Sook Foley, the detention was Chen\u2019s sixth in 2021. \u201cHallelujah! Thank you, God, for your grace and presence. Thank you for your prayers. After being detained at Hengyang detention center for 15 days, police officers and officials of the Unit-Front Department accompanied me home. They have left.\u00a0Now I can go out to spread the Gospel again.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”39048″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Representative Foley says that\u00a0<\/span>Chen\u00a0<\/span>Wensheng<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>returned to the streets the\u00a0<\/span>same\u00a0<\/span>day he was released in order to\u00a0<\/span>continue to spread the Gospel<\/span>. Among those he met, according to Representative Foley, was\u00a0<\/span>the police officer who sent him to the detention center on September 26th.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

Evangelist Chen expressed gratitude to God for his detention on his WeChat account, saying, \u201c<\/span>Thank you, God, for giving me the mission to spread the Gospel on earth, which is the meaning of my life\u2026God can save people if we spread the Gospel. Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel.<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201c<\/span>Before he became a Christian, he was a drug addict<\/span>,\u201d she said. \u201c<\/span>He managed to quit drugs with the help of the Gospel, so he spreads the good news zealously. Following the example of disciples in the Bible, he traveled to many cities and towns to spread the Gospel, holding crosses with slogans with sayings like:\u00a0<\/span>\u2018<\/span>Glorious Savior<\/span>\u2019<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>\u2018<\/span>Repent<\/span>\u2019<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>\u2018<\/span>Believe<\/span>\u2019<\/span>, and\u00a0<\/span>\u2018<\/span>Saved<\/span>\u2019<\/span>.<\/span>\u201d\u00a0<\/span>He traveled as far as Tibet<\/span>, according to Representative Foley<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
