\u201c<\/span><\/span>At around 9:00 a.m.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0on June 11<\/span><\/span>, more than 100 officials from\u00a0<\/span><\/span>several\u00a0<\/span><\/span>government departments arrived at the homes of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Xingguang<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Church members. They moved furniture from the homes into the hallway. They yelled,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u2018<\/span><\/span>What are you recording!<\/span><\/span>\u2019<\/span><\/span>\u00a0at a person filming the incident and took the person’s phone away.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Representative Foley says that t<\/span><\/span>he authorities then proceeded to destroy property, as\u00a0<\/span><\/span>recorded on video supplied by the church<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>In all, more than 12 homes were ruined<\/span><\/span>,\u201d says Representative Foley<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>She\u00a0<\/span><\/span>indicated that a<\/span><\/span>ll\u00a0<\/span><\/span>had served as worship places for the church.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”27315″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_custom_heading text=”Chinese officials destroy the property of Xingguang Church Christians.” font_container=”tag:p|font_size:13px|text_align:center|color:%23000000|line_height:1.45em” google_fonts=”font_family:Noto%20Sans%3Aregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Wang\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Xiaofei<\/span><\/span>, the wife of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Xingguang<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Church’s pastor, asked for prayer from her friends on the social media platform WeChat.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Representative Foley says that Voice of the Martyrs Korea is calling on Christians to join in prayer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>on behalf of\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Xingguang<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Church. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span><\/span>Ask God to help them encourage one another and not lose heart<\/span><\/span>,\u201d says Representative Foley<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u201c<\/span><\/span>Pray for provision for those who have suffered loss and damage.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>As the opposition from the Chinese authorities continues to increase, pray that the Lord will give believers strength to withstand.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On May 3, more than 100 law enforcement personnel raided a worship service held by\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Xingguang<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Church and beat Christians and onlookers, injuring\u00a0<\/span><\/span>several and taking\u00a0<\/span><\/span>several church members into custody<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

\u201cThese two raids in the past two months show that the Coronavirus has not deterred Chinese authorities from continuing their\u00a0<\/span><\/span>harsh\u00a0<\/span><\/span>crackdown on house churches,\u201d says Representative Foley.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span>We must be even more relentless\u00a0<\/span><\/span>with our prayers\u00a0<\/span><\/span>than the authorities\u00a0<\/span><\/span>are with their attacks.<\/span><\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
