One insurgent attacked Danjuma with a machete, slicing through the left side of his head, cutting his left arm, and removing his genitals.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBecause his wounds were so severe, the villagers assumed Danjuma was dead,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Voice of the Martyrs Korea representative Foley Hyun Sook says. The hospital manager Hadila Adamu was amazed that Danjuma survived the attack. \u201cHe bled so much,\u201d Adamu says.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe fact that he survived is a miracle. That\u2019s why he often refers to himself as \u2018Miracle\u2019.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Although Danjuma survived the attack, he lost one eye and is blind in the other. He has to wear a catheter and is dependent on family members for daily care. If they had loved, they wouldn\u2019t have behaved that way.\u201d He added, \u201cI do not feel any burden. I have allowed God to handle everything.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Voice of the Martyrs has been supporting Danjuma and his mother since the attack.
