Grateful to God for her healing, she continued to attend church and placed her faith in Jesus Christ. Eventually, however, the neighbors began to notice the change in Ishika, and they pressured her husband to make her stop following the “foreign religion.” Sadly, he responded to the pressure by drinking heavily. And last year, he left Ishika and told her that he would not be back until she returned to Hinduism. Ishika and her three children have not heard from him in more than six months. Because she can no longer afford school fees, her children have had to leave school.
